Grace Cordell

Grace Cordell – Global Head of Knowledge and Collaboration Management, Global Sales and Markets (KPMG)

Grace is a senior member of Global Knowledge and Collaboration leadership team, with responsibility for supporting global priority sectors and largest and most strategically important global accounts, as well as enabling member firm knowledge and collaboration programmes and initiatives.
At KPMG, Grace manages a large global team of Knowledge and Collaboration specialists. Developed strategy and deployed innovative Account Based Knowledge Services. She delivers high impact, business-focused knowledge solutions that directly contribute to winning business and delivering on our commitment to invest in client relationships.

In addition to the above, Grace is also responsible for content management strategy, processes and systems (e.g. portals and internal social media platforms). She is highly experienced in developing and implementing organisational change, including team restructuring, business requirements analysis, and technology programmes.
Grace is a strong people Leader for 35 Knowledge Managers and accountable for the development and continuous improvement of KPMG’s global research strategy including design and delivery (onshore/offshore), including oversight of offshore delivery teams (150 FTE), competitive intelligence products and services and budget holder for global external data, analysis and awareness tools and services.

Anne Mottram

Anne Mottram – Software Engineer (Metadrift)

Anne is a machine learning engineer at the “creative AI” startup, Metadrift. In this role she undertakes the challenge of building an engine capable of deriving meaning from vast volumes of text-based content and identifying hidden patterns and relationships. A former investment banking associate at J.P. Morgan Chase, Anne holds two degrees from Imperial College London in Mathematics and Computer Science. At Imperial she carried out research into a variety of branches of machine learning, with applications ranging from predicting player performance in professional tennis matches to programming autonomous robots.

Nick Schweitzer

Nick Schweitzer – CoFounder (Metadrift)

Nick is the co-founder and CEO of Metadrift, a “creative AI” startup helping companies solve problems by harnessing the knowledge of how similar problems have been solved before. He believes in building technologies that spur curiosity, exploration and serendipity. Nick studied Engineering at the University of Cambridge and has prior experience working as a technology advisor in M&A at KPMG.

Anna Donovan

Anna Donovan – Co-director, Centre for Ethics and Law (UCL)

Anna is a company law lecturer at UCL’s Faculty of Laws and the co-director of the UCL Centre for Ethics and Law, a research centre that explores the interplay between business, law, technology and ethics. Before joining UCL, Anna was a senior corporate solicitor in London and she is also admitted to the New York bar association. Anna’s research interests include company law and governance and the regulation of complex systems.

Victoria Pickard

Victoria is a Management Consultant at Eversheds Consulting practice group. She is a PRINCE2 qualified project manager with over ten years’ experience across a variety of sectors. She is experienced in managing multi-stream, complex projects in time and resource-limited environments.

Her recent experience includes: the implementation of an FCA-readiness programme for an international consumer finance company; a strategic review of the legal department for a major news and media organisation; a review of the compliance function of a leading pharmaceutical services company; and an FCA-readiness review for a financial data and information solutions company.

Dr Gorkan Ahmetoglu

Dr Gorkan Ahmetoglu – Lecturer of Business Psychology (University College London) & Co-Founder (Meta Profiling)

Gorkan is a Lecturer of Business Psychology at University College London (UCL). He has previously held the positions of Director of Management and Entrepreneurship, Director of Digital Entrepreneurship, and Director of Consumer Behaviour at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has also taught at London’s City University and Heythrop University.
The UK Governments Economic and Social Research Council sponsored Gorkans research for four years, and he has published numerous articles and reviews in leading academic journals, as well as a book on the science of personality and psychological assessment (Personality 101).
He is a leading expert in psychological profiling and assessment and a business adviser and speaker in the areas of consumer decision-making and marketing strategy. He is also the co-founder of Meta Profiling Ltd., a digital start-up that enables organisations to identify individuals with entrepreneurial talent, and an associate to Harvard’s EFL Global. Gorkan consults to global organisations and the UK government, and frequently appears in media as expert adviser.

His clients include HSBC, LVMH, ABF, Google, Ford, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Mars, McKinsey & Co, BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, The Edrington Group, the Office of Fair Trading, the Intellectual Property Office, the British Brand Groups, Government Social Research, The Grocer, The Marketing Magazine, and KPMG.

Claire Farley

Claire is the Executive Director of aosphere and has overall responsibility for aosphere’s entire product strategy. In her current role, she is also the head of aosphere’s online regulatory subscription services. aosphere provides market-leading standardised legal information to 280+ clients globally and is an affiliate of leading international law firm Allen & Overy LLP.
Claire has been responsible for designing and developing Rulefinder Shareholding Disclosure into the market-leading standardised legal solution used by 170+ institutions globally, in addition to restructuring and delivering Rulefinder Marketing Restrictions and providing a springboard to the launch of a funds-focused product in the same space.
Her skills and experience primarily acts as a bridge across legal and technology and enables her to deliver online legal services and manage large teams of exceptionally bright and talented lawyers to deliver market leading results.

Chris Watson

Chris Watson – Partner, Global Head of Technology, Media & Communications Group (CMS)

Chris Watson is a partner and Head of TMC at CMS. He focuses on international commercial matters in the technology, media and communications sectors, particularly in areas where competition and regulation overlap, and on EU law arising in cross-border and complex telecommunications transactions. He also has extensive experience in other regulated network sectors, such as postal and other utilities, as well as in general commercial, corporate, and financial matters.

Chris works with an extensive range of clients in the global telecommunications industry. He has been recognised in The International Who’s Who of Telecoms & Media Lawyers for 2016 as one of only three “Thought Leaders” for Telecoms & Media across the EMEA in which he is described as “exceptionally bright” and “technically excellent”, and boasts an “amazingly international practice”.

He has a strong interest in the Middle East, having lived in Iran for a number of years, and has developed a global practice with approximately half of his clients based outside the UK. Chris is a regular contributor to magazines, a sought after speaker and is frequently quoted in the media. He is a member of the governing Council of the International Bar Association (IBA), and a past chairman of the Communications Law Committee. Chris’s memberships also include Supreme Court of England and Wales, Paris Bar and board membership of the Space Law Committee. He is dually qualified as a solicitor in England and as an avocat in France.
